Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our In-home daycare family. In this role, you will support in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children with their activities, encouraging participation and curiosity
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
- Provide basic childcare needs such as diapering, toddler care, and infant care as required
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Assist with classroom management tasks including attendance tracking and material preparation
- Respond promptly to children's needs, demonstrating caregiving skills such as First Aid when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or babysitting roles preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Classroom experience in early childhood settings or nannying roles highly valued
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required for some roles
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and infants
