Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Our DJ Rocks, ensuring that all events are executed flawlessly and that the company continues to thrive and expand. This role demands a highly organized, proactive, and driven individual who can manage a fast-paced environment and maintain the highest standards of excellence. The General Manager will work closely with the owner to align on strategic goals while taking full responsibility for operational execution.
Operational Management
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including scheduling, event logistics, and team coordination.
- Ensure all events are executed with the highest level of professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain efficient processes and systems to optimize operations.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented female DJs, sales leads, event coordinators, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, high-accountability environment with clear communication and respect.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations—including leading any necessary disciplinary actions or terminations.
Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
- Handle client inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and promptness.
Financial Compliance Oversight
- Hold department leads accountable to their quarterly and annual KPIs—ensuring the entire team stays aligned with our 1-year and 3-year strategic goals.
- Run payroll, submit sales tax, and manage internal reporting processes accurately and on schedule.
- Manage the company’s budget, including expense tracking, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
- Maintain clean, reliable spreadsheets and workflows that protect the business backend.
- Partner with the CEO to keep the company growing sustainably and profitably.
Marketing & Business Development
- Collaborate on marketing strategies to attract new clients and grow the business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
Strategic Planning
- Work with the owner to develop and implement strategic plans for growth and expansion.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to ensure the company remains competitive.
Compensation & Schedule
- Position: Full-time, Monday–Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends required for client events, team trainings, or industry functions.
- Location: Onsite at our offices in Apopka, FL, with occasional travel across Central Florida.
- Pay: Starting at $60,000 , commensurate with experience
