What You'll Do
As a Member Service Representative I, you will be one of the first people our members interact with. You will help them confidently manage their everyday financial needs while creating a welcoming and positive experience. From processing deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments to answering account questions and sharing products and services that fit members' needs, you will help bring OURCU's People Helping People philosophy to life.
In this role, you'll:
- Provide professional, efficient, and accurate teller services, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and cash advances.
- Balance your cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Assist members with account questions, account maintenance, and service requests.
- Promote and explain OURCU products and services that best meet members' financial needs, using a member first approach.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skills while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality, security, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with teammates to keep branch operations running smoothly while supporting one another throughout the day.
- Help create a welcoming branch environment where every member feels valued and every teammate feels supported.

Prior banking or credit union experience is a plus, but it is not required. What matters most is your commitment to providing exceptional member service, your willingness to learn, and your desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Six months to two years of customer or member service experience. Cash handling experience is preferred
- Excellent communication, math, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word and Excel, and standard office equipment
- Professional attitude and conduct
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast paced environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus

Compensation and Growth
- Target starting pay: $17.68 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location and Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Mountain View Branch in Shelton, WA. The schedule is Monday through Friday:
- 8:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. (Fridays until 6:15 p.m.)
