As a Full-time Employee, You’ll Enjoy
Reporting to the Family Development Services Manager (FDSM), the Home Steady Resource Specialist collaborates with the City of Longmont, OUR Center’s Resource Specialists and other community resources to provide financial assistance and supportive services to participants facing housing instability. By linking participants with resources, the Home Steady Resource Specialist aims to minimize evictions and homelessness, restoring stability to community members in need. **This position is a one-year project, with the possibility for an extension based on future funding.**

Essential Duties
- Engages with participants to establish and achieve goals in order to achieve housing stability, providing excellent customer service.
- Meets regularly with participants to coordinate service plans and promote goal achievement.
- Timely and accurately enters required intake, eligibility, and service data in to case management database.
- Connects participants with community resources identified to be of benefit.
- Assists participants with public benefits pre-eligibility determination.
- Evaluates eligibility and provides direct financial assistance, with support from FDSM
- Collaborates with community partners to develop and nurture strong relationships for mutual benefit and housing resource referral.
- Develops, maintains and nurtures relationships within the community at large, staying abreast of current issues impacting all stakeholders, including the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) and Boulder County Housing and Human Services (BCHHS).
- Collaborates with housing programs in transfer of referrals.
- Attend meetings, trainings and development opportunities provided by community partners and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education and Training:
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in case management.
- Minimum three years’ experience using Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, and ability to meet OUR Center’s driving standards.
- Ability to occasionally work outside of regular office hours in order to meet organizational commitments in the community.
- Work is primarily performed in a typical office setting. Work may be performed in a private residence or community setting.
- Prolonged periods of using a computer.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of approximately 20 lbs.
