Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, loading, and organizing shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during route driving.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving and navigation.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmission.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading cargo, forklift operation, and pallet jack use is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and move items efficiently within warehouse or delivery settings.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification is preferred. - Excellent driving skills with experience in route planning and time management.
