Job Description:
The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Director and is responsible for providing nursing care for acutely ill patients. RN performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for acutely ill patients in Labor & Delivery
- Work under the supervision of the Director
- Perform assigned procedures within the scope of practice
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Iowa or from a Compact State
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of hire
- Recent RN experience
- Two (2) to Three (3) years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- One (1) year of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing experience
