How you’ll contribute
An EEG Technician who excels in this role:
Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional data and recommends obtaining additional pertinent data.
Evaluates all data to determine appropriateness and medical necessity of the test ordered.
Selects, assembles and checks the equipment necessary to perform the diagnostic test
Initiates, conducts and modifies the prescribed diagnostic procedure
Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team
Continues with self-development and assists Director with orientation and continuing education of trainees, medical staff, and other hospital employees.

What we’re looking for
Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred; Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Program or AMA approved Respiratory Care Program or a minimum of two years of clinical experience performing EEG testing, preferred.
Licenses: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist by the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology preferred or one year experience.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience: Two years’ experience in EEG testing. Possess an advanced knowledge of neurology and cardiopulmonary physiology and other sciences related to neurological and cardiopulmonary diagnostics and be able to demonstrate these to others.
