The Legacy Foundation is hiring a part‑time Communications Specialist to manage communications and marketing for the Foundation and its programs, including Ottumwa Leadership Academy and Ottumwa Welcome & Connect Service.
This position offers flexible hours, meaningful work, and the opportunity to support impactful community initiatives.
Job Duties
- Write and manage content for websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and other public communications
- Design graphics and marketing materials such as social media posts, infographics, brochures, posters, and presentations
- Create taglines, logos, and marketing strategies for new programs and projects
- Maintain consistent branding across all communications
- Track and analyze website and social media performance metrics
- Maintain and update Foundation and program websites
- Photograph program participants, events, and grantees
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience using Canva and/or Adobe products
- Experience with website maintenance and social media platforms
- Strong writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
