Are you a Class A or B CDL Driver? Are you local to the Cedar Rapids, IA / corridor area? We’re an oil marketer and distributor looking to add a qualified Class A CDL Driver to our team.

Our drivers specialize in local and regional driving. Due to this, they’re home nights and weekends!

In this energetic role, you will operate commercial trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) assignments. Duties

• Safely operate Class A or B commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, , on diverse routes such as local or regional deliveries
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured according to safety standards
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations on time while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety
• Deliver freight accurately to customers’ locations, verifying shipments against delivery manifests and handling goods following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and company policies during all aspects of driving and cargo handling
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure and after arrival
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or logistics cargo handling
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
• Experience with flatbeds, tankers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or similar equipment is preferred
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling
• Skilled in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries across diverse environments
• Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with forklift equipment; must be able to lift heavy items safely
• Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and cargo securing techniques

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
