Molding Technician 2nd Shift
OTTO Engineering's opportunity:
This senior position is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, including setup and tear down, troubleshooting, training, equipment maintenance, and workflow.
The Molding Technician 2nd Shift will perform various tasks such as:
- Executing all tasks of the Molding Machine Operator and Molding Technician Trainee positions as needed
- Setting up molding machines per production schedules
- Verifying proper material use, according to Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Performing quarterly material inventory
- Assisting in reducing scrap
- Executing advanced tool changeovers as required
- Running samples and formulating processes
- Assisting in maintaining departmental routers
- Troubleshooting complicated processing problems
- Assisting with other related duties as required or assigned
- Training new employees
- Optimizing existing processes
- Demonstrating leadership skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in injection molding
- Experience with tool changeovers
- The ability to lift 50 pounds, shoulder height, with assistance when necessary
- Reliable attendance
- The ability to differentiate between colors
- Availability for non-standard or extended work schedules
- Good communication skills
- Moderate personal computer skills
- Knowledge of inspection tools and their use
OTTO Engineering offers competitive compensation and benefits, including:
- A target hourly hiring range of $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
