Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift
OTTO’s opportunity:
Our Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift is an entry level Molding Department position where the candidate learns about all aspects of the injection molding process.
Hours - 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday)
Specifically, the Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift will:
- Basic molding machine setup
- Confirm proper material use, per BOM’s
- Material drying and loading
- Perform inspection of work produced to ensure quality
- Machine maintenance as required
- Keep equipment and work area clean
- Count and progress work into stock
- Regrind material as required
- Perform SPC data collection
- Observe department procedures
- Run insert molded jobs as needed
- Manage raw material in a manner that prevents contamination
- Maintain cleanliness and order of raw material storage
- Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
What you’ll need to bring to the table:
- Minimum 2 years in this position before being considered for Molding Technician Trainee
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. Shoulder height with assistance as necessary
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to differentiate between colors
- Available for nonstandard or extended work schedules
- Good communication skills
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of inspection tools and their use
What OTTO offers for this specific position:
The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.
- Target hourly hiring range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (plus 10% shift premium), based on qualifications and experience.
- Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it’s fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO’s profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
- Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
