Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our resort, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services designed to enhance the wellbeing of our guests.
This is a part-time, 1099 contractor position requiring some nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of massage therapy services including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and prenatal massage, tailored to the needs and preferences of each guest.
- Conduct thorough consultations with guests to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any medical conditions that may impact treatment. Adjust massage techniques accordingly to ensure a safe and effective experience.
- Educate guests on the benefits of regular massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatments or wellness routines that align with their individual goals.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment rooms and throughout the spa. Adhere to all health and safety regulations including proper sanitization of equipment and linens between each client.
- Stay informed about the latest massage techniques, products, and trends in the wellness industry.
- Accurately document guest interactions, treatment plans, and any relevant medical information.
- aintain confidentiality and ensure that all SOAP notes are securely stored.
- Foster a positive relationship with all employees and guests.
- Have a thorough understanding of the amenities and directions to / from resort.
- Make sure all equipment is kept in good, safe working condition.
- Stay updated on safety and emergency procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
- Participate in relevant meetings.
Requirements
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
- Must hold a current and valid massage therapy license in the state of Texas.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College Degree preferred.
- Six (6) months experience as an LMT preferred.
- Proficient in a variety of massage techniques and modalities. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to perform massage services for extended periods, including standing, bending, and applying pressure as needed.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service.
- CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
- The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
- The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.
