Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking a reliable, motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team. This is a true entry-level role designed for a "jack-of-all-trades" who is eager to learn, work hard, and grow within our company. If you are dependable, handy, and looking to build a long-term career, this is the perfect foot-in-the-door opportunity.
You don’t need years of technical experience—just a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. You will work directly alongside our experienced Facilities Technicians, learning the ropes and gaining hands-on training in various aspects of property operations. From day-to-day general labor and odd jobs to assisting different departments, you will be a vital part of keeping our property running smoothly.
This position requires some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with Facilities Technicians to learn basic property maintenance, repair techniques, and equipment operation.
- Actively participate in training opportunities to build your skillset and prepare for future growth within the company.
- Collaborate with the team to learn and document basic standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine facilities tasks.
- Complete simple work orders and routine maintenance tasks as you are trained on them.
- Manage waste removal, trash collection, and breakdown of empty boxes across the property.
- Perform seasonal outdoor tasks, including clearing gutters and cleaning outdoor areas.
- Cut, split, and stock firewood to maintain designated inventory levels.
- Wash, clean, and perform basic upkeep on company golf carts.
- Safely move, rearrange, and assemble furniture for various spaces and departmental setups.
- Receive, log, and deliver incoming packages and supplies across the campus.
- Hook up and safely maneuver a utility trailer for hauling materials, trash, or equipment.
- Act as a flexible team player, stepping in to assist various departments with odd jobs and shifting daily needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- This position requires some nights, evenings, and holidays.
- Comfort with basic hand and power tools is preferred, but we will fully train the right person.
- A strong willingness to learn, take direction, and absorb new skills from senior team members.
- Highly dependable with a proven track record of showing up on time, every day, ready to work.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to safely pull and maneuver a utility trailer.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A positive, helpful attitude with a commitment to being a great team player across the entire property.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
- CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
- The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
- The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.
