What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nonprofit General Manager (Fundraising, Programs, Partnerships) position at Ottimmo Education Foundation?
About Us
We’re a young nonprofit focused on expanding access for under-resourced kids and those with learning disabilities—from local meetups and mentorship to evidence-based supports and family workshops. We’re now hiring our first full-time operator to build fundraising, kick off programs, and grow awareness from day one.
The Role (you will…)
- Fundraising & Grants (50%): Build and run a diversified plan: individual giving, events, corporate sponsorships, foundations. Own grants end-to-end (prospect → proposal → reporting). Stand up a donor CRM and stewardship calendar.
- Programs & Community (25%): Launch monthly meetups and small pilots; recruit volunteers; collect outcomes and stories.
- Marketing & Partnerships (15%): Create a light but consistent content engine (email, LinkedIn, Instagram); secure school/clinic/NGO partners; serve as brand ambassador.
- Operations & Compliance (10%): Budgeting, basic finance, vendor management, policy & child-safeguarding, board coordination. (If pre-501(c)(3), help finalize incorporation/filings.)
You are
- A builder with 4–8 years in nonprofit development/partnerships or scrappy startup ops, with clear dollars-raised and programs launched.
- Strong writer/storyteller; confident with donor meetings and events.
- Comfortable owning tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Canva) and budgets.
- Mission-aligned; lived or professional experience in learning differences/special education is a plus.
- Committed to child safety and inclusive practices; willing to complete a background check.
