Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to lead operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility with up to 600 employees. This role is responsible for driving performance across all key operational metrics-including safety, quality, production efficiency, cost control, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a passion for continuous improvement and a strong commitment to employee engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily plant operations to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in safety, quality, service, production, and cost.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and systems with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Ensure production practices align with legal and regulatory standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Lead and mentor the plant leadership team in analyzing performance, solving problems, and adjusting strategies to meet evolving business needs.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through strategic planning, team collaboration, and performance accountability.
- Monitor plant KPIs, identify trends, and take proactive steps to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
- Lead regular improvement planning sessions and oversee the development of actionable, measurable plans to meet strategic goals.
- Champion the use of Daily Management Systems to track progress and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Oversee workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adequate staffing and optimal deployment of resources to meet both short- and long-term business objectives.
- Foster high employee engagement and support talent assessment, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to recommend and implement business strategies for growth and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing operations leadership with increasing levels of responsibility.
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams with direct supervisory responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and people management.
- Financial forecasting & Fiscal budgeting experience
