This position reports to Supervisor Regulatory II.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pricing Analyst, you will support the development, implementation, and administration of retail rates, tariffs, pricing programs, and customer pricing arrangements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will analyze data, evaluate pricing opportunities, and provide recommendations that support sound business decisions and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development, evaluation, implementation, and administration of rates, tariffs, riders, pricing policies, and customer pricing arrangements.
• Preparing analyses using cost, usage, customer, market, and regulatory information to support rate design and pricing recommendations.
• Reviewing rate structures and pricing programs and identifying opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Developing and maintaining models and analytical tools used for forecasting, pricing, revenue analysis, and rate design activities.
• Analyzing customer usage, financial, and operational data to assess the impacts of pricing and rate changes.
• Preparing schedules, exhibits, workpapers, and supporting documentation for regulatory filings and proceedings.
• Assisting with reports, testimony, tariff materials, and other regulatory documentation related to pricing and rates.
• Monitoring regulatory and industry developments that may impact pricing practices, tariffs, and customer programs.
• Providing pricing, rate, and tariff support to internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams.
• Preparing customer impact analyses and assisting with responses to pricing-related inquiries.
• Supporting the administration of pricing programs, billing-related processes, and system enhancements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on pricing, regulatory, customer, and planning initiatives while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

At the Pricing Analyst II level, additional responsibilities include working independently with minimal supervision, mentoring junior team members, and taking on increased levels of responsibility within the department.

Pricing Analyst I

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and related analytical experience may be considered.
• Related experience in utility rate design, regulatory affairs, economic analysis, pricing, finance, accounting, data analytics, or similar analytical functions preferred.
• Ability to learn utility rate design principles, cost-of-service concepts, tariff structures, and pricing practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and interpret financial, economic, statistical, and customer impact analyses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, exhibits, and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet, database, reporting, and analytical software applications.

Pricing Analyst II

In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates at the Pricing Analyst II level should possess:

• Six or more years of experience with a regulated utility, or an advanced degree in a related field with three to six years of utility experience.
• In-depth knowledge of utility rate design principles, cost-of-service concepts, tariff structures, and pricing practices.
• Advanced understanding of utility regulation, regulatory proceedings, and applicable requirements.
• Experience preparing and supporting written testimony in regulatory proceedings.
• Ability to organize and communicate complex information and defend technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $76,000 - $128,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
