Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally between Engineering and Production to build machine tool parts, dies, jigs, or fixtures to close tolerances that meet specification and job rates.
- Lay out and operate bench or machine tools to construct, alter, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, or special tools.
- Assist Production with tooling needs to continuously improve processes.
- Use safe material handling practices at all times.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Report Machine Time, Labor, and Materials into ERP System.
- Adhere to Lock Out /Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Debur machined parts for safe handling to meet print specifications and company standards.
- Inspects work and verifies dimensions, specifications, and count.
- Correction of problems with supervision/support.
- Identify and report any unsafe work conditions, behaviors, or incidents.
- Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Education, Experience, & Skills:

- High School Education or GED equivalent.
- Strong mechanical inclination or aptitude.
- Able to read and understand blueprints.
- Identifies problems through basic troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read and use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.
- Basic computer skills required, with ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend basic English is essential for understanding various forms of work directions and safety instructions.
- This position requires the skill to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, in a professional, positive, and constructive manner.
- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate both team-based and independent work skills.
- Strong organization, time management, multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment and Physical Aspects:

- Work will be performed in a shop atmosphere with fabrication equipment and also a well-lit manufacturing environment which may include regular exposure to flying dust and debris; the smell of burnt plastic; high decibel equipment and loud noises; and extreme temperatures ranging from subzero up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment consistently and correctly. This may include wearing safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, respiratory masks, other safety equipment as designated, and adhering to the safety dress code.
- The manufacturing environment is fast-moving and may require the mobility to bend, stoop, lift, carry, lift above shoulders, push, pull, walk, and stand throughout the duration of the shift.
- Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hand function may be required to use hand tools, enable tool build, complete data entry, or complete other tasks as assigned.
- May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body and lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
- Some travel may be required between facilities to support Production needs with tooling support.
