What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor (PM Shift) position at Ottawa Dental Laboratory?
The Ottawa Dental Laboratory, founded in 1937, is a family owned and operated business located in Ottawa, IL, and is seeking candidates for the position of full-time Janitor at our Ottawa locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the lab, including work surfaces, floors, and equipment, using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools
- Emptying trash cans and disposing of waste in accordance with local regulations
- Dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, as well as vacuuming carpets and upholstery
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and other common areas
- Refilling stone and cleaning drain traps for production
- Reporting any damage or malfunctions in equipment or facilities to the appropriate personnel
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
- Replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers
- Maintaining a safe working environment by following established safety procedures and guidelines
- Performing other duties as assigned by the lab manager or supervisor
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation practices
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm
