What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Maintenance Professional position at Ottawa County Road Commission?
Ottawa County Road Commission has an opening for a full-time Road Maintenance Professionals. This position will drive truck while hauling, spreading, and leveling various materials, snow plowing, traffic control, tree work, and operate other equipment and hand tools related to road maintenance including extensive labor work. Note that this is not a typical truck driving position.
Location: We have four garages, Holland, Hudsonville, Coopersville and Grand Haven. Please specify what garages you are interested in when you complete the OCRC application
At least one year construction experience preferred with snow experience is a plus.
Hours: M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm with overtime possibilities especially in the winter: Hours May through Sept M-Th 6:30am - 4:00pm and Fridays 6:30am-10:30am.
A CDL Class A license is REQUIRED, and applicant must have this to even interview. Any applicant without this will not be considered. A tanker endorsement will need to be added within 30 days from date of hire.
Must be at least 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.

Current Starting Wage: $30.39 with increases throughout probationary period.
