Paraprofessional/Educational Support Personnel (ESP)

The Ottauquechee School is seeking an Educational Support Personnel (ESP) to fill an opening for the 2025-26 school year. We are a PreK-5 school with an enrollment of just over 200 students and a highly collaborative culture. As a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, we believe that all students can achieve academic and social success given appropriate support. Our teachers build scholars’ capacity for higher order thinking, prioritize student-engaged assessment, use data to inform instruction, and above all, model and foster a growth mindset. Our ESPs, which may be assigned as paraprofessionals or permanent substitutes, are integral parts of our team who work alongside both general education and special education teachers to provide consistent support to students, primarily in the classroom setting. Nature-based learning is a part of our program. Candidates with experience in environmental/outdoor education are encouraged to apply. Duties will include directly supporting students in Pre-K and/or K-5 classrooms; assisting with the implementation of educational programming for academic, social-emotional and behavioral goals; possibly some assistance with language, gross and fine motor skills, personal care and hygiene; and providing substitute coverage for teachers and/or other paraprofessionals. We are seeking teammates who are collaborative, flexible, supportive, and above all - who believe in kids! Some understanding of developmental disabilities is welcomed, but not required. Candidates will receive training from the highly qualified and experienced staff.
