Job Summary
Under minimal direction of the Compensation team leaders, the Senior Analyst, Compensation is responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of compensation & recognition programs.
Job Description
- Support the Total Rewards strategy by assisting in the administration of Otsuka's compensation program (base pay and incentive pay), tuition reimbursement & recognition programs.
- Conduct compensation analysis including analyzing internal and external job data and provide recommendations on career levels, appropriate salary ranges, and variable pay targets for new roles, new hire offers and promotions.
- Provide consultation to HR Business Partners and HR COEs on all matters compensation to drive alignment with Otsuka's compensation philosophy and program.
- Support the annual review processes, including but not limited to merit/bonus planning and pay equity review process.
- Lead salary survey process, including survey submissions and survey data analysis and updates.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and calculations and generate reports in support of the Otsuka's needs.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of communication materials to effectively educate employees and managers on compensation programs.
- Research best practices in compensation and make recommendations consistent with market conditions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in administering compensation and rewards programs.
- Ability to conduct market and pay research, analyze compensation information and data and present findings in a concise format.
- Experience in administering annual rewards processes (i.e., merit/bonus planning).
- Advanced ability to analyze and synthesize data.
- Excellent Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables (and experience with Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally throughout all levels of the organization.
- Ability to take initiative, be accountable for individual and team results, and motivated to set and achieve high performance standards.
- Ability to prioritize project deadlines together with day-to-day requirements while maintaining work product excellence and high-levels of customer service.
- Demonstrates outstanding judgement and decision making.
- Solid attention to detail including ability to anticipate data-related questions.
- Great teammate with ability to "flex" to different styles and work collaboratively with peers
- Ability to handle sensitive information, maintain confidentiality and address sensitive situations in a constructive manner.
Preferred
- Experience with Workday and/or Marketpay.
- Professional certification (CCP, PHR, SPHR, etc.).
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare industry experience.
