Join OVER THE ROAD LIMITED's dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL A Truck Driver specializing in Dry Van freight! In this energetic role, you’ll be the backbone of our logistics operations, safely transporting goods across long distances while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in driving tractor-trailers, managing freight loads, and ensuring timely deliveries will keep our supply chain moving smoothly. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with dry van trailers across designated OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and cargo securement.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
• Manage logistics cargo handling by loading, securing, and unloading freight with attention to safety protocols for hazardous materials and dangerous goods when applicable.
• Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, inspections, deliveries, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving in over-the-road (OTR) settings.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and cargo securement standards.
• Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual handling tasks as needed.
