Summary of Position
We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly Member Specialist to join our team. This role involves assisting members and potential members with their Credit Union needs as well as handling IRA-related duties. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Schedule
Full-time, weekdays 8:20a-5:00p

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Answering member phone calls.
- Assisting members with opening accounts and answering questions about ancillary products, including IRAs.
- Processing IRA transactions, such as rollovers, transfers, and adjustments.
- Administering the Credit Union’s IRA program, including sending mandatory notices, reviewing IRA-related tax forms for accuracy and compliance, and approving transmission of IRA-related tax files to the IRS after verification.
- Performing other related duties, such as sending faxes and maintaining member account information.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience
- Education: High school education or GED
- Interpersonal Skills: Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
