Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Family Assistant to support our family in various tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, punctual, and possess strong communication and time management skills. The candidate should have the ability to work well with teenagers and adults, and should be comfortable with dogs. We anticipate needing assistance twice weekly, typically afternoon to early evening.
Responsibilities
- Driving teenagers to/from sports and school activities. Excellent driving record required.
- Daily home tasks: meal preparation, dishes, tidying up, walk and feed dogs
- Weekly tasks: bathe dogs, help with errands, grocery shopping, laundry
- As needed: event preparation, help with car dropoff/pickup for repairs, be present at house for maintenance/service/delivery, take teens or pets to appointments
- 1-2/month: wash bedding
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with teenagers and families
- Excellent driving record
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Meal preparation, cooking and baking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Not necessary but helpful: experience speaking Mandarin and/or French
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Background check will be required
