OPEN POSITION: Per Diem Vascular/ General Sonographer
As a Vascular Sonographer at Othello Community Hospital, you’ll play a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions by performing high-quality, non-invasive ultrasound examinations. You’ll work closely with physicians and radiologists to provide accurate imaging that supports timely and effective patient care.
- Location: Othello Community Hospital, Othello, WA
- Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday
- Status: Per Diem (Non-Benefit earning)
- Wage Range: $50.50 – $91.48/hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- RVT & ARDMS -Must have Vascular & General Ultrasound experience.
- Perform vascular ultrasound imaging including carotid, venous, arterial, and abdominal studies, OB, GYN, Small Parts and Breast.
- Accurately takes patient history for exams
- Obtains appropriate patient history and demonstrates proficiency at utilizing the RIS/PACS system in locating prior reports/studies pertinent to exams being done.
- Utilizes Medicalis to track patient check-in/availability.
- Takes phone calls from patients and schedulers to clarify exams, patient preparatory information and general questions
- Reads previous reports and enters exam information in a timely and accurate manner consistent with exam protocols. Dictates final report for interpreting physician to review and sign.
- Communicates with referring physicians and/or ED physician when significant findings are discovered or when requested by physician
- Coordinates patient care between technologists and clerical staff to facilitate a smooth workflow
- Makes accurate and timely use of Workday timekeeping system.
- Arrives for assigned shifts on time to begin exams at their prescribed time.
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (3 year degree)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with vascular specialty
- BLS certification required at time of hire
- Minimum of 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
Salary : $51 - $91
