Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, prep areas, and storage spaces.
- Empty and sanitize trash containers regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the culinary team by delivering clean and organized kitchenware promptly during service.
- Assist with basic food preparation (such as peeling or chopping) when needed.
- Report maintenance or safety issues immediately to the supervisor or chef on duty.
- Follow all sanitation and safety policies, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Help maintain kitchen organization and support inventory control as directed.
- A team player who takes pride in keeping things spotless, organized, and running efficiently.
- Energized by a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment and committed to supporting the team’s success.
- Someone who values the details—because you know cleanliness and safety are the foundation of great hospitality.
- Able to work independently, stay on task, and prioritize duties during high-volume times.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the job (standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Open to working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Communicates in basic English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Prior experience in kitchen stewarding, dishwashing, or janitorial work is preferred, but we welcome those ready to learn and grow with us.
