Your role is more than just seating guests or handling transactions—it’s about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable meal.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every arrival feels welcomed and every departure feels appreciated.
- Manage the waitlist and reservation system to ensure efficient and fair seating rotation.
- Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and offer brief, friendly introductions to the dining experience.
- Handle all guest payments accurately, including cash, credit card transactions, and room charges.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, cashier station, and entry areas.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth flow of service.
- Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries, to-go orders, or special requests.
- Monitor dining room flow and support floor staff with bussing or resetting tables during peak times.
- Assist with daily opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures as assigned.
- Uphold all company and brand standards related to guest service, safety, and financial procedures.
- A people-person with a natural talent for making others feel seen, heard, and welcomed.
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with grace.
- Confident handling money and operating POS or restaurant management systems.
- A clear communicator—both in person and over the phone.
- Able to stand for long periods and occasionally assist with lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible with scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior hospitality, retail, or guest service experience is preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable working independently while being a strong part of a team.
