Position Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a critical executive partner to the CEO and Board, overseeing the daily operations of On The Go’s multi-unit Food & Beverage portfolio across airport environments. This role is accountable for driving operational excellence, culture, ensuring world-class guest experiences, and executing strategic initiatives that enhance enterprise value for private equity investors. The COO will lead a diverse team through a period of growth and transformation, balancing disciplined cost management with innovation, scalability, and customer-centric service delivery. Success in this role requires an operator who thrives in complex, regulated environments, can influence diverse stakeholders, and delivers measurable results in revenue growth, EBITDA performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Excellence
Direct all aspects of day-to-day operations across On The Go’s airport Food & Beverage
portfolio, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and brand excellence.
Establish operational standards, metrics, and accountability frameworks to deliver consistent,
measurable results across multi-unit locations.
Oversee airport facility management, including leasehold maintenance, capital improvements,
energy efficiency, and compliance with airport infrastructure standards.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging technology, analytics, and process
innovation to optimize performance.
Strategic Growth & Value Creation
Partner with the CEO and Board to shape and execute On The Go’s strategic plan with a clear
focus on revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term enterprise value creation.
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including new airport contracts, concept
development, and geographic expansion.
Lead integration of acquisitions or joint ventures, ensuring synergies are captured and
performance is maximized.
Financial & Performance Management
Oversee enterprise-wide P&L, with accountability for revenue, EBITDA, and capital efficiency
targets.
Drive disciplined cost control, labor productivity, and supply chain optimization in alignment
with private equity performance expectations.
Ensure rigorous forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting for the CEO, Board, and
investors.
Leadership & Culture
Build and develop a high-performing executive and field leadership team capable of scaling with
the business.
Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and engagement across all levels of the
organization.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion as a driver of innovation and team performance.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, unions,
vendors, and key external stakeholders.
Ensure full compliance with all safety, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Represent On The Go in negotiations, public forums, and investor discussions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field required; MBA strongly
preferred.
15 years of progressive senior leadership in multi-unit hospitality, Food & Beverage, or retail
operations, ideally within airport environments.
Experience leading a company or division under private equity ownership, with a proven track
record of EBITDA growth and enterprise value creation.
Deep financial acumen with direct P&L responsibility for $500M in revenue.
Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams through growth, change, and transformation.
Strong executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills; proven success
influencing boards, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Compensation: $300,000 - $400,000 per year bonus eligibility.
