IFM Quality & Finishing Technician
Join Our Team as an Integrated Facility Management (IFM) Quality & Finishing Technician
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality & Finishing Technician to provide repair, cleaning, and preventative maintenance services for customer equipment at industrial and commercial facilities.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in industrial finishing, commercial HVAC systems, air quality, filtration, and equipment maintenance who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working directly with customers, and supporting high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer equipment in the field
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of industrial and commercial systems
- Lead industrial paint, finishing, filtration, HVAC, and indoor air quality maintenance projects
- Provide technical training and support for customers and technicians
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding equipment repairs and service needs
- Document service work and maintain accurate service reports in company systems
- Maintain and test service equipment and tools before and after use
- Assist with special projects and technical service initiatives
- Support product demonstrations and customer training both in the lab and in the field
- Participate in establishing service and maintenance contracts
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of skilled trades or technical field service experience
- 1 year of experience in a focused application or product line
- 1 year of experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Industrial finishing or paint systems
- Powder coating / finishing
- Commercial HVAC
- Industrial cleaning systems
- Filtration and indoor air quality
- Mold remediation or duct cleaning
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience disassembling, repairing, and reassembling equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, safety procedures, and service documentation
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to learn company service systems and maintain equipment records
- Must be able to work in environments that may include:
- Paint and solvent odors
- Moving mechanical parts
- Electrical equipment
- Airborne particles or chemicals
Certifications
- Mold and duct cleaning certifications preferred
- Ability to obtain certifications from primary vendors within 6 months (Graco, GEMA, Fanuc, Sames, CFT, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend regularly
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
