What are the responsibilities and job description for the StarCNC Machinist position at OT Precision Machining, Inc.?
We are seeking a StarCNC Machinist to join our team! You will setup and operate a Star CNC Swiss Screw Machine.
Responsibilities:
- Operate (setup a plus) our Swiss Screw Machines to produce machined parts that meet strict design specifications.
- Ensures parts meet tolerance specifications by using an "in process" inspection plan and by routing "first article" to inspection; makes necessary machine adjustments.
- Performs preventive maintenance of CNC equipment and general housekeeping functions.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of Star CNC machine, minimum 3-5 years experience
- Experience in reading/writing CNC programming
- Strong understanding of machining principles, metal properties, and cutting tool technology
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and gauges
- Strong communication skills, Vietnamese, a plus
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to setup Star CNC machine, a plus
- Knowledge of PartMaker, a plus
