What are the responsibilities and job description for the Country Market Attendant position at Oswegoland Park District?
Job Overview:
Under the supervisor of the Special Event Supervisor, this position will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Oswego Country Market. This seasonal outdoor market runs for 18 weeks from June through September with over 40 vendors in downtown Oswego.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct setup of market vendors and entertainment groups
- Communicate with the Parks Department to set up signage, barricades, tents, etc.
- Oversee SNAP & LINK MATCH program
- Oversee 3-6 volunteers
- Answer questions and inform patrons of upcoming Oswegoland Park District events and opportunities
- Monitor weather and make decisions regarding market closure in inclement weather
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, & Training:
- High school graduate with a valid diploma and 18 years of age· Acquire CPR/AED and First Aid certification and keep current
- Ability to acquire SNAP & LINK Match Training prior to the market season
- Some customer service experience preferred
