Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation using Eaglesoft.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and gather medical history from patients.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications
- NYS Certified Dental Assistant preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a dental environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
