Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality and climate control, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design plans
- Conduct system inspections to diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems to ensure efficient operation
- Repair and replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and electrical wiring
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents for accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with plumbing professionals when integrating HVAC systems with plumbing infrastructure
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for each job performed
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations including ammonia refrigeration protocols when applicable
- Operate a vehicle safely to transport equipment and materials to job sites
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction or property maintenance environments
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC installation or repair projects
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans accurately
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups
- Experience with boiler maintenance, or general equipment repair is advantageous
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Field service experience working directly at customer sites with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
