JOB TITLE: Embroidery Shop Operations Manager
REPORTS TO: Business Owner / Department Head
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and oversee production on two commercial embroidery machines.
- Manage all daily embroidery department operations from order intake through final production.
- Schedule and prioritize production schedule according to client deadlines.
- Ensure all jobs meet company quality standards before shipment or delivery.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain quality control throughout the production process.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and support department growth.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience as an embroidery shop manager.
TECHNICAL EMBROIDERY EXPERTISE:
3 years of direct, hands-on experience operating commercial multi-head embroidery machines. We currently utilize a 6-Head SWF & a 2-Head Tajima.
Coordinate machine setup, including hooping, embroidery machine programming, thread selection, and production workflow.
Oversee general maintenance, cleaning, and proper operation of embroidery machines and related equipment. More technical issues will be outsourced to a qualified technician. Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance schedules. Resolving technical issues promptly to prevent order backlogs is crucial.
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
Proficiency with embroidery/digitizing software, specifically Pulse. Knowing how to digitize is a plus.
INVENTORY & SUPPLY CHAIN:
Manage levels of threads, backings, and other embroidery supplies. Maintain vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing.
LEADERSHIP STYLE:
A proactive leader with excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
CLIENT & ORDER MANAGEMENT:
Collaborate with the sales team to review incoming orders, estimate production timelines, and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer logo specifications. Communicate proactively regarding timelines, challenges, or special production needs, especially when rush orders are requested.
