Ostlund, a leader in infrastructure and facility services, is seeking an experienced Concrete/Machine Operator with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This is a hands-on role focused on concrete placement, forming, and finishing, along with operating heavy equipment to support a variety of concrete projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of concrete work including forming, pouring, placing, and finishing.
- Assist with layout, grading, and site preparation for concrete flatwork, pads, and curbs.
- Operate concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing equipment.
- Safely operate skid steers, backhoes, and other machinery to support concrete installation.
- Ensure proper curing, finishing techniques, and overall quality of concrete work.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Accurately document materials used, hours worked, and site conditions.
- Transport equipment and materials to job sites as needed (CDL required).
Requirements:
- 2 years of hands-on concrete experience (forming, pouring, and finishing required).
- Experience operating construction and concrete equipment.
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of concrete practices, job site safety, and OSHA standards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor (standing, kneeling, bending).
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended shifts.
