Are you ready to build Master Data Management the right way from day one? This is a rare opportunity to step into a ground-floor MDM build within a stable, growing manufacturing company and take full ownership of how data is defined, governed, and trusted across the business.
The Role
This is a true builder position you are the MDM function. There are no direct reports yet, so strong hands-on capability is critical. You’ll operate with a player-coach mindset, leading through expertise while laying the foundation for a future team.
You’ll own MDM end-to-end: strategy, governance, standards, and execution across ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM systems.
What You’ll Do
Build and implement data governance from scratch
Standardize, cleanse, and manage data across multiple systems
Define data ownership, business rules, and system-of-record structures
Write and execute SQL queries to validate and reconcile data
Partner directly with business users to understand workflows and data origins
Drive data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency)
Lay the groundwork for future tools (e.g., Snowflake)
Improve reporting reliability and overall trust in business data
What You Bring
7–10 years in MDM, Data Governance, or Data Stewardship
Strong experience in manufacturing environments
Deep ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, etc.)
Experience integrating ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM systems
Hands-on experience with:
SQL (data joins, root cause analysis)
Data profiling and cleansing
MDM tools (Informatica, SAP MDG, Profisee, etc.)
Translating between business and technical stakeholders
