Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble deli products with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met including slicing meat.
- Serve customers efficiently at the deli counter, providing friendly assistance and product recommendations.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, including cash handling and processing sales accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and other deli items using proper food handling techniques.
- Support the overall store operations by bussing tables, managing basic math calculations for sales and inventory, and upselling products to enhance sales performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, grocery stores, or quick service & fast food restaurants is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work effectively in a retail or kitchen setting.
