Key Responsibilities
Scholar Support & Instruction
This role focuses on facilitating deeper learning through student-driven collaboration. You will:
- Provide instruction and support in curriculum areas, including writing and implementing EL goals and objectives.
- Evaluate scholar performance according to the EL goals and objectives.
- Promote scholar achievement and maintain required scholar records.
- Make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies.
- Implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which you are employed.
- Provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable.
You will be a community connector, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration with all stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing data with colleagues to develop targeted student interventions.
- Maintaining consistent communication with students' guardians and caregivers.
- Leveraging local resources and inviting community members into the classroom to enrich learning.
- Integrating student leadership development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- A valid Minnesota teaching license in an appropriate field (English as a Second Language) or a valid MN teaching license in another field with a willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission.
- If not currently licensed, you must be eligible and willing to apply for a Tier 1 or 2 license.
- A deep belief in collaborative learning and shared inquiry.
- Experience with various team teaching models (e.g., co-teaching, station teaching).
- Experience in designing and facilitating nature-infused and experiential learning.
- A data-informed practitioner who uses assessment to guide instruction.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders.
