After School Program Staff

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated After School Program Staff to join our team, providing support to students from Randolph, Braintree, and Brookfield! The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their growth in fun environment. This role involves engaging with students in various activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere, and promoting positive behavior management strategies.

The program runs Monday through Friday at Randolph Elementary School, from 2:20pm-5:30pm. While all five days is preferred, we are open to staff who are only looking for 2-3 days a week as well.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with students during activities, ensuring a supportive environment.
• Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students.
• Assist in the execution of educational programs, including clubs and enrichment activities.
• Provide first aid as needed, ensuring the health and safety of all participants.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to create an inclusive and engaging program for all students.

Experience
experience working with children is preferred but not required. Preferred qualifications also include:

• Associate’s degree, or experience in early childhood education/child development is highly desirable
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
• Experience in tutoring, babysitting, or providing childcare services
• Knowledge of special education practices will be advantageous for supporting diverse learners
• Familiarity with VT Childcare Licensing Regulations
