Route Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. You will be working approx 4 hours per day, 6 days a week, approx 2-2.5 hours in the morning and 1-1.5 hours in the evening. The ideal candidate will be responsible Picking up mail from Edwardsville, IL Post Office and delivering to 4 smaller Post Offices, all within a 30-mile range. Total miles driven per day totals about 60-70 miles. This is a split shift position. I am looking for someone who can start soon.

Duties

• Operate box trucks and vans for delivery purposes, ensuring timely arrival at designated locations.
• Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Handle manual transmission vehicles as required by specific delivery needs.

Requirements

• Valid Class B or Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating box trucks and vans
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools is a plus.
