Senior Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Developer (Finance / AUM Analytics)

Position Overview
Osprey is seeking a Senior Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Developer to build and support enterprise analytics solutions for a financial services organization. This role will focus on Assets Under Management (AUM), investment performance, financial reporting, client flows, revenue analytics, and executive dashboards.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data modeling, and financial reporting, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and executive reports.
- Build and support Microsoft Fabric solutions utilizing OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Direct Lake, and Dataflow Gen2.
- Create scalable data models supporting:
- AUM and net flows
- Investment performance and attribution
- Financial reporting and GL analytics
- Revenue, fees, expenses, and cost allocation
- Develop complex DAX measures and optimize report performance.
- Integrate data from Amazon Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL), financial platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Partner with business and finance stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
- Ensure data governance, security, and reporting best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of BI/analytics development experience.
- 5 years of Power BI development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Direct Lake, and Dataflow Gen2.
- Strong expertise in:
- Power BI
- DAX
- SQL
- Data modeling and dimensional modeling
- Experience building financial reporting and executive dashboards.
- Experience integrating data from MySQL and PostgreSQL environments.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Asset Management, Investment Management, Wealth Management, or Financial Services experience.
- Experience with AUM reporting, performance analytics, fund accounting, or revenue/fee reporting.
- Microsoft Power BI and/or Fabric certifications.
