Role Description The Architect role at OSK Design Partners is a full-time, hybrid position based in Collingswood, NJ, with flexibility for some work from home. This role involves developing architectural concepts, producing drawings and specifications, and collaborating with the project team to deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design presentations, detailed construction documents and refining plans based on feedback. The Architect will also support project management activities, such as tracking schedules, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and assisting in bidding and construction administration. The role includes reviewing submittals and helping ensure documentation aligns with project standards and building codes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience creating drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
- Demonstrated skills in Project Management, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing timelines, and supporting project delivery.
- Understanding of Integration between architectural design and related disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP), ensuring cohesive and compliant solutions.
- Familiarity with Software Development concepts or technical integration tools used in design workflows (e.g., BIM platforms, plug-ins, or custom scripts) is beneficial.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp) and strong visual presentation skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methodologies, with prior experience in construction administration preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and engage directly with clients.
