OSI Systems is seeking a Leave of Absence (LOA) & Workers' Compensation (WC) Administrator. This individual will support employees throughout leave and injury claims by executing compliant, timely, and empathetic administration. They will manage day-to-day case intake, documentation, eligibility determinations, vendor/TPA interactions, and employee communications for company-sponsored and statutory leave programs (e.g., FMLA, ADA interactive process, parental leave, military leave) and workers’ compensation claims. They will need to be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to navigate confidential data with integrity while driving operational consistency and compliance.
Responsibilities
Pay may range from $95,000 to $105,000 annually
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). Responsibilities
- LOA Eligibility: Works with HRBP team to verify eligibility for FMLA/State and company-sponsored leaves; tracks wait periods and benefit eligibility rules.
- Case Management:
- Monitors leave timelines, extensions, and intermittent leave schedules; coordinates with payroll for pay coding, benefit deductions, and return-to-work.
- Consults, advises, and participates in the administration of leave programs and policies. Acts as liaison between the third-party administrator and HRBPs to help resolve complex leave inquiries.
- Provides guidance to employees, HRBP, and managers regarding leave status, expectations, and next steps.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensures adherence to federal/state/local leave laws; maintains accurate records for audit readiness; supports policy updates.
- Case Intake & Reporting: Documents injury details and reports claims to carrier promptly; ensures first reports of injury are complete and accurate.
- Case Coordination: Liaises among employees, HRBPs, supervisors, EH&S, and carrier; tracks claim status, reserves, and return-to-work plans.
- Return-to-Work & Light Duty: Coordinates restrictions and transitional duty assignments with HRBPs and managers; ensures documentation and adherence to physician guidance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintains confidential case files; supports litigation holds and subrogation documents when required. Holds training sessions for the HRBP team on Workers' Compensation and new legislation.
- Systems & Data: Maintains case data in HRIS systems; ensures data accuracy for reporting; runs monthly dashboards.
- Policy & Process: Creates/Maintains leave SOPs; identifies opportunities to reduce cycle times, improves communications, and mitigates compliance risk.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Work independently on making decisions on behalf of OSI Systems regarding benefit plan interpretations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- 5 years’ experience in an HR role, with a focus in LOA/WC administration required.
- Must have thorough understanding of FMLA, ADA, State & Local and basic workers’ compensation concepts.
- Must have strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality (HIPAA/PHI awareness).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software required.
- Must have the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices.
