Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing all activities related to receiving incoming raw materials, warehousing and storage, and shipping finished products to multiple customers within several distribution centers to meet company, customer, and government requirements.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.
- Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.
- Directs the activities of all forklift operators to ensure that raw materials and production supplies are provided to production departments to ensure timely operations.
- Prepares international export shipments and accompanying documentation if applicable.
- Schedules inbound raw material deliveries to meet production requirements.
- Schedules outbound finished product shipments to meet customer requirements
- Maintains raw material and finished product inventory control.
- Prepares and analyze departmental activity reports using SAP and other database or spreadsheet software.
- Assists in month end physical counts of production supplies and finished goods.
- Ensures maximum utilization of department employees’ time.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining programs for all material moving equipment.
- Ensures compliance with established company policies, safety and health regulations, sanitation and good manufacturing practices.
- Develops and maintain open and positive employee, vendor, and customer relations.
- Hires, trains and develops employees to ensure qualified staff is available, including management absence.
- Optimizes sales of production seconds for maximum revenue. Identify customers, negotiate price, propose transaction to management for approval, and execute transaction.
- Effectively maintains freight costs.
- Plans warehouse and storage layout for most efficient use of available space and usage; considers turnover, size, weight and related factors.
- Performs historical traces to determine reasons for inventory discrepancies, resolves resulting issues.
- This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Performs other duties as required.
- 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred, In a food manufacturing warehouse or related shipping/receiving function.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Effectively utilizing an ERP system like SAP, or Business Central, preferred
- BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
- Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
- Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.
- This role does not require any domestic travel
- Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
