Key Responsibilities
- Support Watch System Reliability engineering efforts across the full product lifecycle, from early development through field-return analysis
- Perform failure data triage, reliability data analysis, and risk assessment support for Apple Watch hardware systems
- Consolidate and analyze large datasets from multiple engineering sources including Excel reports, Radar, Recon, and Tableau dashboards
- Organize and distill complex reliability findings into clear, digestible summaries for Reliability Engineers and cross-functional partners
- Assist in identifying high-risk failure modes and support mitigation efforts during product development
- Support cross-functional failure analysis (FA) investigations involving mechanical, electrical, optical, and thermal systems
- Collaborate with Reliability Assessment Engineers (RA/ARI) and cross-functional hardware teams to track reliability trends and drive product improvements
- Contribute to design risk assessments and support ongoing reliability reporting activities
- Assist with development and validation of reliability test methodologies as needed
- Work in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment supporting system-level product reliability initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–8 years of engineering experience focused on reliability testing of consumer devices.
- This role is focused on supporting Reliability Engineers through data analysis, failure triage, and reporting rather than independently leading root-cause investigations initially
- Experience working with large engineering datasets and performing technical data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify trends and communicate findings clearly
- Familiarity with reliability engineering, failure analysis, or product integrity workflows
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment
- Proficiency with Excel and technical reporting tools
