A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a multifaceted understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to company''s advantage.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet company''s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of valued manufacturing processes and costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
- Develop models and analyses to maintain large volume of data, extract insights and recommend opportunities for cost improvements
- Provide overall program management support and supply to ongoing development of processes, templates, issue procedures, and reporting
- Communicate insights to partner teams to influence commercial strategy with data
Qualifications:
- Strong data management skills, including experience maintaining and analyzing large volumes of data.
- Procurement or sourcing background preferred, including supplier negotiations and cost analysis.
- Strong program management and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into commercial insights.
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with extension
Work Location: Cupertino, CA (onsite)
Pay range: $ 47.00 - $ 62.00 (DOE)
