Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell related products and promote store promotions to increase sales and meet targets
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure proper merchandising standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to store policies on phone etiquette and customer interactions
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with product placement
Experience
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures confidence in daily tasks
- Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers and team members
- Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment will be beneficial in understanding store operations
