Host/Hostess - OSHA Thai Kitchen

Osha Thai Kitchen is excited to introduce authentic Thai cuisine to Houston! we are looking for friendly and organized hosts/hostesses to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
• Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist during busy times.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating and service flow.
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials and promotions.
• Monitor the dining room to ensure cleanliness and a welcoming environment.
• Assist with coordinating takeout orders and ensuring timely service.
• Handle guest inquiries and address any concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, including food and beverage offerings, to assist guests with questions.
• Assist in training new host/hostess team members as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

REQUIRED TRAINING / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a hosting or customer service role preferred.
• Familiarity with Resy is a plus.
• Must have Texas Food Handlers Certification (or be willing to obtain).
