What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Mechanic position at Osgoods Outdoor Power & Auto?
Osgoods Engine & Automotive is looking to hire an Automotive Technician to join our growing team! We are a family-owned company with a strong presence and history in Fryeburg, Maine. We are looking for long term team player who enjoys working in a shop where everyone gets along and helps each other. Experience in small engine repair is a plus.
Qualifications
- Must have own tools
- 3 years of experience
- ASE Certification is a plus, but not required
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
- Must have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Maine Inspection License is required
Responsibilities
- Performing quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.).
- Communicating directly with the service advisor, so customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
- Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.

Pay based on experience
Expected hours: 40 hours per week
