The hourly rate for this position is $18.50/hour. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to a Clinical Associate and working under the supervision of a registered nurse and certified surgical technologist, the intern will follow the department policies, procedures and standards. The intern will assist the surgeon during the operative procedure by maintaining inventory, passing instruments and supplies, and holding retractors. Cleans operating room and stores equipment and supplies. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served (newborn through geriatric).
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Must currently be in Surgical Tech program, and have completed a clinical rotation, and is within one semester of completion of the program.
- Other Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS from the American Heart Association Must currently be in Surgical Tech program, and have completed at least one semester of classroom instruction, and has started to do clinical rotations at a hospital.
